USA Swimming
We are a USA swimming program, similar to many other programs around the metro.
To complete the USA Swimming Registration process:
USA Swimming requires every family to create a USA Swimming account and pay and register for USA Swimming through that account.
Flex memberships are only available for 12 & under swimmers. 13 & over swimmers need to be Premium or Outreach members.
We encourage any eligible families to apply for Outreach membership.
What does a USA Swimming program mean?
First and foremost, it provides insurance for our team and coaches.
It provides vital training for our coaching staff to help our club and your swimmers continue to grow.
A USA Swimming membership gives your swimmer access to a plethora of swimming resources and materials.
It allows us to offer more competition opportunities to our 11 & older swimmers. This includes high level meets, meets further away, and meets in different formats (e.g., 50 meter pools, Prelim/Final meets)
These opportunities are completely optional and come at an extra expense to each swimmer, in the form of meet registration fees.
What this doesn't mean:
Huge price increases. Due to the nature of our long standing relationship with Des Moines Public Schools and North High School, our prices have not drastically increased.
Increased travel for competition. We continue to offer the same high quality practice and competition to all of our athletes that we always have. Older athletes now have the opportunity to travel to higher level meets if they would like.
10 & Under Swimmers
10 & Under Swimmers
Our North Side Swim Team coaching philosophy follows the belief that new and young swimmers need time to develop their technique and not more intense competition. This means we do not offer USA Swimming competition to 10 & Under swimmers.
There are two registration options for 10 & Under swimmers.
Flex Membership ($30) - allows swimmers and clubs all of the perks of a premium USA swimming membership. Expires at the end of the calendar year.
Outreach Membership - provides a Premium membership at a discounted rate to qualifying low income families. This membership offers additional opportunities if you qualify. Expires at the end of the calendar year.
11 & 12 Swimmers

Our North Side Swim Team coaching philosophy follows the belief that new and young swimmers need time to develop their technique and not more intense competition. It also states we like to provide our older more experience swimmers with a higher level of competition.
There are three registration options for 11 & 12 swimmers.
Flex Membership ($30) - allows swimmers and clubs all of the perks of a premium USA swimming membership. Expires at the end of the calendar year.
Swimmers can upgrade from a flex to a premium membership at any time through their online USA Swimming account.
Outreach Membership - provides a Premium membership at a discounted rate to qualifying low income families. This membership offers additional opportunities if you qualify. Expires at the end of the calendar year.
Seasonal membership (150 Days) ($54) - available to any swimmer who wishes to compete in more than two USA Swimming meets per year or any qualifying championship-level meets. Good for the one season only summer or winter.
Swimmers can upgrade from a seasonal to a premium membership at any time through their online USA Swimming account.
Premium Membership (Year Round) ($88)- available to any swimmer who wishes to compete in more than two USA Swimming meets per year or any qualifying championship-level meets. Expired at the end of teh calendar year.
